Cargo-Partner expands european road transport network

Cargo-partner, a proud member of the Nippon Express Group, has significantly expanded its European road transport services, prioritizing key trade corridors linking Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Poland with Italy, Türkiye, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. This strategic enhancement is a direct response to escalating freight demand and the growing trend of nearshoring, as European businesses actively restructure their supply chains to be closer to domestic markets.

On the vital Italy to Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) corridor, cargo-partner now provides up to five weekly departures in each direction. This service efficiently connects Italy with Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, and Poland, offering door-to-door transit times starting from just three days. The automotive, machinery, and furniture sectors are particularly driving demand along this route.

The Türkiye to CEE corridor is experiencing a surge in interest, fueled by nearshoring initiatives. cargo-partner offers weekly import and export services connecting Istanbul to various destinations, including Brno, with transit times from seven days. To further optimize this route, intermodal transport is increasingly being adopted as a cost-effective and environmentally responsible alternative to full truckload road transport, offering the additional advantage of mitigating border delay risks.

For trade routes connecting the United Kingdom and Ireland, cargo-partner operates twice-weekly groupage departures from the UK to Poland, Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, and the Baltic states. Complementing this, daily groupage, part load, full load, and express van services are available across the Irish Sea.

This comprehensive expansion integrates transport solutions with robust customs support, warehousing, consolidation, fulfillment, and distribution services, all managed across an extensive European network. Linehaul services originating from cargo-partner’s Austrian hub extend to Central and Eastern Europe, the Balkans, and former Soviet states, bolstered by warehouse facilities operated by cargo-partner and the NX Group throughout the continent.

Mirko Blazevic, Director of Road Europe Operations at cargo-partner, emphasized the strategic intent behind this expansion: “Our goal is to build a flexible and efficient network that actively removes obstacles from customer supply chains, moving beyond simply transporting goods from point to point.”
