ONE issues further update on M/V ONE HENRY HUDSON incident
Ocean Network Express (ONE) has issued a further update concerning the fire incident aboard the M/V ONE HENRY HUDSON at the Port of Los Angeles, marking their fifth customer advisory on the matter.
The vessel remains berthed at Yusen Terminal (YTI). ONE has confirmed the completion of the initial phase of cargo discharge operations on Friday, December 26, 2025. This phase successfully involved the discharge of dry containers from the affected cargo hold that were not compromised by the fire or firefighting water.
The subsequent phase, focusing on distressed containers, commenced on December 29, 2025. ONE also indicated that further water discharge operations within the cargo hold are anticipated as part of the ongoing recovery efforts.
All discharged containers are currently being stored at Yusen Terminal (YTI) for inspection by the United States Coast Guard (USCG), as well as for procedures pertaining to General Average and salvage.
ONE reiterates its commitment to full cooperation with all relevant authorities and stakeholders and pledges to provide additional updates as further information becomes available.
