Ngqura replaces Port Elizabeth on MIDAS1/MESAWA service

Ngqura Enhances MIDAS1/MESAWA Service Rotation, Replacing Port Elizabeth

The joint MIDAS1/MESAWA service, operated by CMA CGM and Maersk, has seen a strategic adjustment with Ngqura port now serving as a key call, superseding its nearby counterpart, Port Elizabeth. This change reinforces the service’s rotation connecting the Middle East/Indian Subcontinent with West Africa.

As reported by DynaLiners, the revised service itinerary now includes calls at Jebel Ali, Mundra, Nhava Sheva, Pointe Noire, Tema, Lagos (Apapa), Cape Town, and Ngqura, before continuing its journey back to Jebel Ali.

This update serves to optimize port coverage within South Africa while ensuring robust connectivity across vital trade routes linking Asia, the Middle East, and West Africa.
