Chittagong looks for consulting firms to prepare a scientific mechanism of tariff formation, implementation procedure
The Chittagong Port Authority (CPA) is actively seeking proposals from international consulting firms to establish a robust and scientifically grounded framework for tariff formation and its subsequent implementation. This initiative is driven by the port authority’s forward-looking vision, encompassing anticipated future developments and a strategic transformation of its operational model.
The selected consultancy will be tasked with developing a comprehensive policy for tariff formulation and implementation. This policy will be designed to accommodate the diverse operational landscape of the port, including all existing terminals and those yet to be developed. Crucially, it will also address terminals managed directly by the CPA, as well as those operated by either international or local terminal operators appointed under Public-Private Partnership (PPP) agreements, Public-Private Arrangements (PPA), or other government-approved frameworks.
