AD Ports Group signs 440,000 sqm land lease with Azizi Developments

AD Ports Group, via its subsidiary KEZAD Group, has finalized a second 50-year land lease agreement with Azizi Developments. This strategic expansion will see the UAE developer invest AED 2 billion to enhance its manufacturing and logistics capabilities within Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD).

The newly leased plots encompass approximately 440,000 square meters, on which Azizi Developments intends to construct twelve factories. These facilities are designed to significantly increase production capacity, bolster supply chain resilience, and effectively support Azizi’s expanding portfolio of projects, which includes major master-planned communities and landmark developments.

Abdullah Al Hameli, CEO of Economic Cities & Free Zones at AD Ports Group, commented, “Azizi’s expansion in KEZAD underscores their strong confidence in our integrated industrial ecosystem. We provide the essential land, infrastructure, and logistics connectivity that empower large enterprises to scale efficiently. This agreement not only champions Abu Dhabi’s industrial growth but also strengthens our enduring partnership with Azizi as they invest in advanced manufacturing and robust supply chain capabilities.”

This latest agreement follows an initial 50-year land lease, signed in October 2024, also within KEZAD Al Ma’mourah (KEZAD A). In that preceding deal, Azizi committed AED 1 billion towards the development of several production facilities, including a reinforcement steel cut-and-bend plant, timber joinery and duct fabrication workshops, a modular factory, and aluminum and glass fabrication units. The initial site spans roughly 220,000 square meters.
