Ocean Alliance removes Tacoma from HTW transpacific service
The Ocean Alliance is set to revise its Transpacific (HTW) service, operated by Evergreen, by removing the Port of Tacoma next month, according to Dynaliners. This strategic adjustment will enable the HTW service to focus its U.S. West Coast operations exclusively on the ports of Oakland and Los Angeles.
The revised service will deploy eight vessels, each with a capacity of approximately 15,000 TEU, maintaining a weekly sailing schedule. The new rotation will be as follows: Port Kelang – Ho Chi Minh (Cai Mep) – Taipei – Kaohsiung – Shenzhen (Yantian) – Los Angeles – Oakland – Kaohsiung – Port Kelang.
This realignment signifies a strategic streamlining of port coverage within the transpacific trade lane, concentrating capacity on key California gateways to optimize efficiency.
